Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,
For basketball fans out there, you may have recently viewed the stunning buzzer-beater centre court goal by Australian Josh Giddey for the Chicago Bulls which secured a win against the LA Lakers. It was a moment of pure excitement, but beyond the thrill of the shot, it was a true testament to the power of teamwork.
While Josh’s incredible aim stole the spotlight, his success was built on the unwavering support of his teammates, who passed, defended, and encouraged him every step of the way. Their dedication and collaboration on the court mirrored the very values we strive to instill in our school—working together, supporting one another, and celebrating collective success.
Just like in basketball, teamwork is the heart of our school community. Whether it's students helping each other in the classroom, teachers collaborating on exciting lessons, or our wonderful support staff ensuring everything runs smoothly, we are all part of a team striving towards shared goals.
As we conclude another school term, it is timely to reflect on the many different aspects that each person brings to the life of a school. Josh’s unforgettable basket is a reminder that success isn’t just about individual brilliance—it’s about the effort, encouragement, and spirit of those around us. Let’s carry this spirit of teamwork forward in everything we do.
Twilight Sports – A Night of Fun and Fitness!
Our school community came together for another unforgettable evening at our annual Twilight Sports event. With perfect weather and a fantastic turnout, students, families, and staff enjoyed an action-packed night full of exciting activities and friendly competition.
The evening featured a variety of sports and games, giving everyone a chance to showcase their skills and have fun. From running races and relay challenges to novelty events like sack races and three-legged races, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, encouragement, and plenty of team spirit!
A big highlight of the night was the delicious BBQ, where families gathered to enjoy a meal while cheering on participants. Thank you to our wonderful PA volunteers and staff who worked hard behind the scenes to make the event a success. A big thanks especially goes to Liz Humphris, our amazing and dedicated PE teacher, who helped to coordinate this event.
We appreciate everyone who joined us for this special event. Your enthusiasm and support help make our school a vibrant and welcoming community. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
Hoodies Up Day
This April, during World Autism Month, we are supporting as a school the Hoodie Up campaign, an annual campaign aimed at celebrating and uplifting the Autistic community, while promoting understanding, acceptance, and inclusion in society. The theme for 2025 is ‘My Positive Autistic Identity’, and as a school we are helping to support this initiative with our own Hoodies Up Day. Hoodies Up Day will be celebrated on Tuesday 29 April (Term 2 Week 2).
The theme this year is all about celebrating the strength, uniqueness, and pride of being Autistic. All children will be encouraged to wear ‘Hoodies’ as a means to champion inclusion, and positively affirm neurodiversity.
Why hoodies? Some Autistic people may sometimes experience sensory overload by the environment around them. Wearing a hoodie is an easy self-regulation tool to reduce sensory input and support feeling calm.
Hot Cross Bun Morning Tea and Harmony Day
Last Friday saw our school celebrate Harmony Day together with our annual Hot Cross Bun morning tea. The children had a great time celebrating diversity and made some terrific flags with the theme ‘Everyone Belongs’. As a school we are always working towards showing respect everyday and building our TORCH values to become a more inclusive society. Please see further on in the Newsletter for some Harmony Day photo
Project Compassion – Coin Line
The SRC Project Compassion coin line will take place this Thursday at 10:00 AM on the basketball court. Students are encouraged to bring small change to contribute to this fundraising initiative for Project Compassion. Students will lay their coins outside to see which class has the most coins. The SRC will collect and bank all donations on Thursday afternoon.
40th Anniversary
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Holy Trinity! Since our founding in 1985 we have been dedicated to providing excellence in education, fostering a vibrant learning environment, and building a strong and supportive community.
To commemorate this milestone, we have an opportunity to reflect on our rich history while looking ahead to the future. We invite students, parents, and staff to join us in celebrating four decades of learning, growth, and success.
Do you have any old photos or memorabilia that you could share and would be of interest to the community? We would love to share some old photos for everyone to enjoy.

Prep Enrolments
A reminder to all existing families who have a child who will be starting in Prep next year to please ensure that you have completed your childs’ online enrollment application for 2026 if you have yet to do so.
Parking & Traffic
We ask that parents and grandparents please be mindful when parking on Riddell Road and the surroudning streets on school days and on days when special school events are held. We have received a complaint from a local resident who was unable to access their own property on the night of the Twilight Sports due to a car being parked arcoss their driveway. Please also keep in mind that parking inspectors frequent the area and regularly issues fines to motorists who are not abiding by the road rules.
Holy Trinity Representative Uniforms
Our children love wearing Holy Trinity uniforms to represent their school, and we’re thrilled to see their pride! However, to keep this going, we need all uniforms returned, including swimming caps, representative tops, shorts and socks.
Thank you to the families who have already returned all items after washing—it is much appreciated. If you find any additional uniform items at home, please send them back with your child ASAP.
Thank you for your support in helping our teams stay prepared for future events!
