Harmony Week is a time to celebrate our diverse and united community. It reminds us that despite our differences, we are all connected and called to serve one another in love. One of the most powerful ways to foster harmony is through service—giving our time, skills, and hearts to others.
The Bible encourages us in Galatians 5:13: “Serve one another humbly in love.” True service isn’t just about duty; it’s about love and humility. When we serve, we bridge gaps, strengthen relationships, and create a more unified world.
This Harmony Week, let’s reflect on how we can serve others—whether through volunteering, acts of kindness, or simply listening. Small actions can make a big impact, fostering peace and understanding in our communities. Let’s embrace service as a way to live out God’s love and bring harmony to those around us.

The final ended in a dominant 3-0 victory for Team Philippines, with a standout performance from Year 12 student Maruelle Tongzon , scoring two goals and securing the tournament’s first-ever title.

On 6 March, Vice-Captain Prisha and I had the opportunity to attend a High Tea for International Women’s Day, hosted by Joanne Ryan (MP for Lalor) alongside a diverse group of inspiring women. We connected with women from various backgrounds, listened to their stories and learnt how these leaders made a real impact in their communities. We learnt from inspiring women who have created positive change in fields like politics, education, community leadership and women's health. The message from International Women's Day is beautifully described in Proverbs 31:25: "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future". This verse encourages women the world over, to wield strength, wisdom, and resilience. It reminds us of the power we hold to lead with dignity and inspire change. True leadership isn't about personal success, it's about uplifting others to create a better future for everyone.

Harmony Week is a highlight on the College calendar. Our College Captain, Milan Gurung, invited his grandparents to our SY assembly this week to share their story. Here is what Milan shared:
"As a second-generation Australian of Nepali background, Harmony Week is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices my family has made to give me a brighter future. It was a privilege today hearing from my grandfather, a retired British Army Gurkha, who shared his journey of service, migration, and faith.
Harmony Week is a reminder to be proud of our culture and identity, and to take a moment to appreciate the resilience and dedication of our elders."

Parenting can feel like a constant balancing act between stepping in, guiding, and creating space for children to develop independence. At times, it can be hard to know which approach is going to get the best result. This webinar will explore three key parenting strategies to help navigate challenging situations:
When to Interrupt: How to decide if you should step in or allow your child room to grow.
Leading by Example: How your own actions and words influence your child's behaviour and attitudes.
Advocating & Escalating: How to support your child's needs proactively and when to seek external help or resources.
