Zombie Fish – Primary School Education Day
Have you heard of the Zombie Fish? Thought to be extinct the small but mighty Southern Purple-spotted Gudgeon was rediscovered in 2019! To ensure the longevity of this critically endangered species VFA are translocating the zombie fish into several local waterbodies including the Victoria Park Lake wetland.
Join VFA, GBCMA, RiverConnect and Goulburn Murray Landcare Network for a unique Outdoor Classroom Multi-Activity Education Day! Students will see the fish up close, be a part of their release into the lake and engage in a range of interactive games to learn about how the species is important in our local ecosystem, along with the remaining Magnificent Six small bodied native fish species.

Where: Victoria Park Lake
