Welcome to Term 1 Week 11!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Easter Fair! I would like to thank the hard-working P and F who put so much effort into making the night enjoyable for our students and their families. The weather was spectacular and allowed for a lovely evening at school. The money the P and F raises goes back into our school to improve the resources our students have access to. Thank you to everyone who helped on the night, donated to the stalls or gave their time to assist.

Congratulations to...

... our students who attended the da Vinci Decathlons in Armidale last week.

... all our students who have competed in the last two weeks at many sporting events and demonstrated great sportsmanship

Best Wishes...

To our Ag Team competing at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney

To our secondary girls trying out at Diocesan Netball Trials in Armidale on Wednesday

To Dustin Taber at CCC Rugby League

Coming Up

ANZAC Day

Students are welcome to join the school in the ANZAC Day parade and service on Friday, 25 April. Please meet at 10:15 am at the Gaukrogers corner, dressed in summer school uniform.

The parade starts at 10:30 am and concludes at the cenotaph at the pool at 10:45. The service begins immediately after this. Students must be collected from the cenotaph at the conclusion of the service by their families.

Uniform in Term 2

At the beginning of Term 2, students may wear either their summer or winter uniform (but not a combination of both) until June 1, when the winter uniform is compulsory.

The Alinta Uniform Shop is open for a limited time during the holidays:

Monday 14 April 8:30 am to 11:30 am

Wednesday 23 April 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Happy Easter!

As we begin the Easter break this Friday, I would like to wish you and your family a happy and holy Easter. We have been working hard at teaching our students the importance of this season of Lent - prayer, giving to those less fortunate and fasting/going with less and this will culminate this Friday with our Easter liturgy and Walk for Water for Project Compassion. The Easter season sees us remember Jesus' crucifixion, followed by his resurrection. This calls for celebration and enjoyment in the hope that new life brings. I hope your family has the opportunity over the holidays to relax and be together to celebrate in your way this special season of the church.

If you are interested in the Catholic faith, you might like to join the adult Alpha program that will run next term at the Sacred Heart Church.

Happy Easter!
