FUN RUN
On a crisp and sunny morning, Belmont High School students laced up their running shoes for the annual Fun Run, a cherished tradition that combines fitness, community spirit, and the stunning coastal beauty of the Bellarine Peninsula.
The event was more than just a race; it was a celebration of community and school spirit. Students and teachers gathered and either walked or ran the 5km from Point Lonsdale Lighthouse to the Queenscliff Football Oval. The atmosphere was filled with encouragement and enthusiasm throughout the day.
We would like to thank our wonderful parent’s association members – Kristi Southon, Rob Muspratt, Karen Hart, Nat Lee, Richard Godfrey, Kayleen Fisk and Nicole Britnell; who were on the BBQ’s all day ensuring that staff and students were well fed.
A huge congratulations to Silver House who took out the day with their team participation.

ATHLETICS
Under clear blue skies and a buzz of anticipation, students and staff gathered for the annual Athletics Carnival, a highlight of the school calendar that brought together the community in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance.
Held at John Landy Field on Wednesday 23rd April, the day featured a full slate of track and field events, from sprints and relays to long jump, triple jump, discus, shot put, and high jump. Each event showcased not only the athletic ability of the participants but also the enthusiasm and encouragement shared by spectators and teammates.
Students were grouped into their houses, proudly wearing their house colours and cheering each other on throughout the day. The competition was fierce but friendly, with students of all ages pushing their limits and supporting one another.
With Mr Mac our inhouse DJ providing entertainment throughout, the day brought a real carnival feel to those who attended.
A big thank you to all of the staff who assisted in ensuring that the day ran smoothly for all.
With a very close end to the day, with only a few points between houses… Mango House was victorious.
Congratulations to the 150 students who have made it through to the Barwon Athletics. Keep an eye out for updates regarding this!
