Wonderful 1

The 0ne-der Stars 1s

Term 1 Week 10 2025 -  Friday 4th April

What have we been up to?

As we wrap up our first term, we would like to take a moment to reflect on all the wonderful progress and fun we’ve had in Year 1! It has been an exciting and successful term, and the students are certainly looking forward to a well-deserved break.

In our reading sessions, the students have had a fantastic time planning and writing narratives. As a class, we worked together to plan and write a story, and then each student had the opportunity to plan and write their own narrative about a bear. It was amazing to see the creativity and imagination the students brought to their stories, and we were all so impressed with the fantastic work they produced!

In maths, the students have been exploring two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional objects. They’ve been busy identifying the properties of different shapes and learning how to draw them. The children have also enjoyed joining shapes together to create new ones, which has helped develop their understanding of geometry in a fun and interactive way.

As we head into the holidays, we want to wish you all the very best. We hope you have a restful and enjoyable time with your family. We can’t wait to see the students back in two weeks for Term 2, ready for more learning and adventures!

Thank you for all your support this term!
