Week 10 Term 1

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you

This is the last week of Term One  and it has gone by so quickly. Thank you to my dedicated staff who are continuously seeking improvement in all areas of school life, especially caring and supporting your children with their learning to be the best people they can be.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you (Parents and Carers) for your continued support and dedication to our school community. Your involvement, encouragement, and commitment make such a positive difference to our students and their learning experiences. I am grateful for the strong partnership we share, and I look forward to what we will achieve together for the rest of the year.

A big thank you to all the students for a fantastic term. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and positive attitude have made it truly special. Thank you to all the students who bring St. Fidelis School to life.

Preparing for Easter: Stations of the Cross - Friday, April 4th

This Friday, the last day of term, the students will be re-enacting The Way to the Cross (Stations of the Cross) in the school yard, beginning at 9:15 am and concluding in the church. All Parents and Carers are warmly invited to join us in the yard and the church. We look forward to sharing this special event with you.

School Community Fete Day Update:

I am thrilled to announce that the total amount raised at the School Community Fete Day was an extraordinary $16,051.00!

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the committee and the entire school community. Your efforts and generosity are truly inspiring.

The funds raised will go towards completing the payment for the Junior playground and will also help us begin saving for improvements in the Senior Playground Area.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, you have made a meaningful difference for our students. Please take a moment to read the P&F news in this issue.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Ms Alycia Marscio and Adrian who were married on Saturday.

We wish them both a lifetime of love, health and happiness.

Good Luck Ms Vivian Boggis

Ms. Boggis will be going on maternity leave at the end of this term. We wish Ms. Boggis and her husband, Peter, all the very best as they await the birth of their first child. We look forward to hearing the good news and meeting their new baby.

Welcome Ms Olivia Bovolato

Ms. Olivia will be taking over from Ms. Boggis in Year 1/2. She has been transitioning into the class with Ms. Boggis over the past month to ensure a smooth handover. We wish Ms. Olivia all the best as she joins the St. Fidelis' community.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT NFORMA AND THE DECOMMISSION ON AUDIRI

We are excited to announce the transition to a new communication platform, the nForma App, which will replace the Audiri communication app. This change will streamline and enhance how we communicate important school updates, notices, and events with you.

nForma is the school's current reporting package for academic reports. Parents of students in Years 1 to 6 may already be familiar with the app, as it has been used in previous years to access student reports.

Why the Change?

The nForma App offers a range of features designed to make school communication more efficient and user-friendly. With nForma, you will be able to:

  • Access your child’s school reports.
  • Report absences with ease.
  • Receive notifications if your child has received first aid.
  • School notices and upcoming events.

Transition Timeline

To ensure a smooth transition, we will continue to use the Audiri app alongside the nForma app until early next term. However, the Audiri app will be fully decommissioned by May 23rd. This overlap period will help ensure that no communication is missed as we make this change.

Action Required

We kindly ask all parents and guardians to download and set up the nForma app by the end of Term 1. Starting from this date, the Nforma app will be our sole platform for all school-related communications.

If you have already downloaded and registered with the app, please ensure that your app is updated to version 3.0.

For new Foundation parents and parents who currently do not have the app, the following will help you get started:

  1. Download the nForma app from your device’s app store.
  2. Follow the setup instructions provided by the school (please contact us if you need assistance). The instructions are attached below.
  3. Ensure that notifications are enabled so you don’t miss any updates.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we transition to this improved communication platform. Should you have any questions or require assistance with setting up the app, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
