iSea iCare

OLA iSea iCare Ambassadors have conducted their 'Caring for our Oceans' lesson to the Grade 1 students. The senior students attended a Workshop last term, researched and collaboratively created a lesson with a focus on teaching the younger students about conservation and caring for our ocean and it's beautiful creatures. The Grade 1s loved the lesson and a big congrats to our leaders who are inspiring us all to take better care of creation.

Buddies

Grade 5/6 buddies play a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive school community. By partnering with younger students, they model positive behaviour, build leadership skills, and help create a sense of belonging. 

One of our Grade 6 Leaders did a great job teaching our Prep students how to login to their devices and Learning Apps with the help of their older buddy. Well done!

Chess Program

We are excited to announce that all students will be participating in a Chess program this year. This is something we run every second year here at OLA and gives all students Prep - Grade 6 the chance to hone their logic, memory, concentration and problem solving skills whilst learning a new (and very popular!) game. 

Grades 1, 2, 5 and 6 will have lessons on Mondays this term (starting Week 4) and Grades Prep, 3 and 4 will participate in Term 3.
