Easter Alleluia

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

We thank our Grade 1 and 2 students for their leadership of our Easter Alleluia Prayer Service last week. This was an important time for us to gather to pray, reflect and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. The Junior students did a wonderful job leading the readings and singing with confidence.

ANZAC Prayer Service

On Thursday 24 April we stopped to pay our respects to our ANZACs. We honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who have served, and those who continue to serve, our country. Lest we forget.

We also thank our Grade 6 School Captains for representing OLA at the ANZAC Day Service at Cheltenham RSL last Friday.

Pope Francis

Dear God, We pray for Pope Francis. We are grateful for the guidance he gave us as he led by example, encouraging all Catholic people to reach out and actively help the less fortunate and marginalized. We pray that you be with him as he enters eternal life in heaven. Amen.

We used the following song 'We Are Your Instruments' with the children to pray for Pope Francis. It is inspired by the words of the Prayer of St Francis (Pope Francis's namesake) and the lyrics are very much in line with Pope Francis's message of outreach.

Project Compassion - Thank You!

Thank you to all the families who donated to the Project Compassion Caritas Lenten Appeal. The school raised $148.55.
