BEPS Alumni

At Burwood East Primary School we have a very strong school community spirit. This community spirit includes both past and present students.
The Burwood East Primary School Alumni initiative is a great way for our school community to celebrate these connections. The Alumni will serve as a bridge between the past and present, fostering lifelong connections and a sense of belonging among our former students.
Past students are encouraged to share their journey since graduating with the school community, and this sharing has a powerful impact on the creation of a positive cycle of success, support, and inspiration for future generations. It's a testament to the enduring value of education and the lifelong relationships forged during the student years.
We will be organising opportunities for the student Alumni to share their experiences and achievements with the current student cohort.
We recently caught up with from Edwin a past Year 6 Graduation Class:
What are you doing at the moment?
Edwin- 'Year twelve at Highvale Secondary and also doing a tafe course on game development'.
What is your best memory of your time at BEPS?
Edwin- 'In year five when we were playing soccer at the oval with my friends. Even though I wasn't very good at it, I still had a blast as a defender'.
What are your future goals?
Edwin- 'My future goal right now is to hopefully be a game developer at some company as I always liked games and two years ago I found out I enjoyed coding'.
What is the biggest change you have noticed on your return visit?
Edwin- 'I noticed that the old buildings where the preps and year one rooms had been located are gone which was crazy how the school has changed but some parts are exactly as I remember'.
