In Term 2, the Year 6 Environmental Leaders saw a need to clean up our school yard and created The Little Waste Warrior Program . Students had the opportunity to sign up to volunteer to help clean our school yard, with buckets and tongs, for 10 minutes at recess.

The main items found in the yard are whole bananas, chip packets, ovaltines wrappers.

We thought it would be good for the school community and the environment - our school yard.

So far a lot of students have signed up to clean our school during recess and it is making a difference. The school yard looks cleaner and there isn't rubbish in random places anymore. So far it's been going great.
