Whole school Athletics
Just a reminder that next Tuesday is our whole school athletics day to be held at Genazanno
It will be held between 10am and 2pm. (approximately) All parents are invited to attend either for the whole time or for just part of the time. As it is at another school all parents are asked to remain on the oval area whilst in attendance. It would be great to see as many parents on the day as possible. Hopefully the weather is kind to us
Professional Learning
Last Friday our staff were involved in Professional Learning in Religious Education with a focus on the Bible.
Fr Kevin Lenehan celebrated mass with the three schools in our parish followed by a session on “A Catholic Approach to Reading the Scriptures”. The next session was on how the Bible is structured and the purpose of each section.
The staff found it very engaging and the day provided them with new teaching ideas when presenting scripture to our students. A big thank you to Fr Kevin who stepped in at short notice as Fr Brendan was unable to attend.
Classroom Visits
It has been wonderful to be able to visit all classrooms over the past 3 weeks. These visits provide me with an opportunity to get to know the students and learn how each classroom operates. It is clearly obvious from my visits that the children are keen to engage in their learning.
The writing in the 1/2 area was amazing!!!!!!!!!. The children will see me in their classrooms a lot.
Primary School Leader Forum
Last week two of our leaders Arden Cheung and Christina Romana visited Parliament house and met with Jess Wilson and other school leaders in our area. They also had the opportunity to give a short speech. This was a wonderful opportunity for Arden and Christina.
Prep enrolments 2025 ( repeat)
I would like to remind parents that if you have a sibling commencing at OLGC next year, that you please complete the enrolment form and return it to the office ASAP. Also if you know of any families that are still considering where to send their child to school in 2025 please ask them to speak to the office so that we can arrange a tour for them. Please spread the word about our wonderful school.

Canteen Orders
Canteen is open on Mondays and Fridays. Lunch orders must be submitted online by 8am through the My School Connect app. Reminders will be sent out and all order must be in by 8am Monday & Friday.
