Year 7 Update

As we reach the midpoint of the year, it's a wonderful time to reflect on the incredible journey our Year 7 students have undertaken since the start of Term One. Our word for Term One was 'beginning,' and it was truly fitting as our new Year 7 students embarked on the exciting transition to high school. They began to navigate new classes, meet new friends, and acclimate to their schedules. It has been inspiring to witness their transformation from uncertain newcomers to confident members of our school community.

Over the past months, I've seen remarkable growth in our Year 7 cohort. They have adapted brilliantly to the high school environment, forming strong bonds with their peers and showing an impressive commitment to their studies. They are no longer just beginning; they have established themselves as integral parts of our school community, and their enthusiasm and dedication are evident in everything they do.

As we moved into Term Two, our focus shifted to a new word: 'leaping.' This theme encapsulates the spirit of courage and eagerness to embrace new challenges that our Year 7 students have demonstrated. They have leaped into new opportunities with enthusiasm, whether it's participating in extracurricular activities, taking on events at House Athletics or House Swimming Carnival, or exploring new areas of learning. The solid foundation they built during Term One has given them the confidence to take these leaps, knowing they are supported by a strong community and a secure base.

I am incredibly proud of the progress our Year 7 students have made and the way they have embraced both beginnings and leaps. Their journey so far has been filled with growth, discovery, and a willingness to step out of their comfort zones.

As we look ahead to the rest of the year, I am excited to see what further accomplishments and adventures await our Year 7 students.
