Confirmation Dates

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on: Thursday 6th June at 6.00 pm, at Our Lady’s Church, Maidstone.

Families of children receiving Confirmation are also to attend a Commitment Mass on Sunday 2nd June at 10 am at Our Lady’s Church.

We invite you to keep our candidates in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare for the sacrament.

Grade 5/6 Community Project

Our first encounter for this project involved meeting Park Ranger Martin Forster when he came to visit our school to discuss his role with Maribyrnong Council. Martin explained the importance of his conservation, land management, habitat creation and revegetation work. When we asked him ‘How can we nourish the land?’, Martin recommended we contact the Friends of Maribyrnong Valley (FMV) volunteers and work with them. 

This week the children from the 5 & 6 hub visited Burndap Park to work with the FMV volunteers and Martin Forster the Park Ranger. Martin discussed the history of Burndap Park, the challenges facing the environment and the benefits that could flow from revegetating the area. Together the children and the FMV volunteers worked together to plant 200 new trees in the area. We would like to thank our parent volunteers for their support with this outdoor learning experience.
