Parents and Friends

Parents and Friends held their Term 2 meeting on Monday evening – a huge thanks to those who attended (both in person and online). Lots of great feedback was received from those who attended and there are some exciting ideas in the pipeline, so watch this space!

A big thank you to all those families – who donated or purchased raffle tickets and or attended the Tom Curtain event and purchased food from the P & F BBQ – and an even bigger thank you to all those families (parents and students)  that donated goods or their time, or both to assist with this incredibly successful fundraiser –  a combined total of BBQ and raffle was an incredible $3405.70.

Pop Monday July 29 in to your diaries for the Term 3 meeting! In the meantime if you would like to find out how to get involved, please contact the College or reach out to one of our existing members. We welcome your contribution no matter how big or small!

Tuesday afternoons with Hands on Learning

The hands-on learning students have spent Tuesday afternoons learning some floristry skills as we prepare for many of the events that have popped up in the past few weeks. After creating amazing wreaths for Anzac day, the students were able to use the left-over flowers to create bouquets for their families in time for Mother's day. As a group they have proven to have quite a talent when it comes to flower arranging.

Over the past two weeks the students have been organising the 'Sponsor a rose' fundraiser to support Mollie and Braithan's Cystic Fibrosis day fundraiser. They have been creating promotional advertisements, making preserved rose baubles, and wrapping orders of roses for the fundraiser. 'Sponsor a rose' has been aimed at giving people the chance to buy a rose to gift to a resident of Edenhope's Lakeside Living. This year it is open to deliveries locally in Edenhope as well. So far 37 roses have been sponsored, so that all of the residents will receive a rose each.  A further 19 roses have also been ordered, which is a great response. More roses are available so if you would like a rose, please send your order into the school for Friday or message RANE flowers on facebook.
