Young Leaders Interview
Hi-5 Team
Written by Afreen and Nabeeha
Each week we are focusing on one of the APS Young Leader Teams and this week we introduce to you the Hi-5 Team. We have selected Lucas and Jessie as representatives of the Hi-5 Team and asked them some questions about what they do each Wednesday afternoon in our Young Leaders Program.
What do you do each week on Wednesday afternoon?
Lucas: “I’m in the SWPBS group and my role is to help the school be more positive. On Wednesday afternoon, I help to sort the Hi-5 card shop and help the juniors while they are looking at the shop”.
Jessie: “As a young leader my role is to participate in the Hi-5 shop where I select items that students are able to receive”.
Why do you think this group is important for students at Albanvale Primary School?
Lucas: “Making a positive environment is automatically an essential factor for a better school but helping the Hi-5 card shop is also very important as it is an encouraging tool to try to make people behave”.
Jessie: “The Hi-5 shop is highly important for the student’s well-being while being in school hours or after school”.
