Celebrating Inclusivity

This week we acknowledge and celebrate Harmony Week and Neurodiversity Celebration Week. Whilst we all have different cultural and family backgrounds and our brains all work in different ways, we are all worthy and deserving of respect and acceptance. We are encouraging students to wear orange this Friday or a traditional costume from their cultural background for Harmony Day. If they are wearing a ribbon or socks, then it would be expected that the rest of their outfit would be school uniform. Our student Wellbeing Leaders are organising an activity for students to celebrate where they come from and there will be another activity in the Library.

We work hard at Toorak to foster a culture of respect between staff, students, and parents. We offer a strong Respectful Relationships wellbeing program that aims to build respect and resilience in our students. We also bring in outside organisations to complement this, an example of this being our upcoming Understanding Bullying workshops for our Year 4-5 students together with a parent webinar on March 27 which is open to all Toorak PS families.

Please Click Here to register your attendance or use the QR code on the posters you will find on display boards around the school.
