Class 2 Steiner

Celebrating Learning

We have recently started a maths main lesson on the Magic of Patterns in Numbers. We have been using multiplication geometric wheels combined with 100’s charts to explore the magic of different skip counting patterns. The combination of the geometry and the 100’s chart has led to interesting insights and discoveries by the kids. They have also been heavily invested in the story of Valla and Dante as they explore the tower of Ida the Spider, having to complete geometric wheel puzzles and patterns as they climb the tower. It has been a delight to see their engagement in a numerical, but also imaginative and creative sense in the maths.

We have also started a Writers Workshop cycle and they are very much into writing persuasive pieces at the moment - particularly about kids running the school! So let's see where that leads us!

We have kept up with the creative part of our curriculum and the reverence around painting and singing has been paramount.

Great work class 2!
