The Colour Run Welcome Picnic
On Friday, February 28th, PMPS converged on Garden City Reserve, ready to embody the colours of a rainbow! Kids and parents alike had a fantastic time, enjoying the perfect weather and lovely atmosphere.
A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers for mapping out the course, setting up the event, and covering the kids in vibrant colours. Special appreciation goes to Zoe and Michelle for their hard work—I really appreciate both of you.
Side note: please remember to supervise your children at these events and pick up your rubbish at the end of the night.
The PFA is made up of volunteers giving 1000s of hours throughout the year. We broadly split our volunteers into two groups, the committee and our helpers.
Committee: Official members who are the decision makers and planners. Based on our PFA constitution this group can stand for a PFA position and officially vote on activities. Individuals from this group run most (although not all) of the events. We meet 2-3 times a term for a meeting over dinner. There is an AGM each year in March to re-elect the official positions.
PFA helpers: non-official members who help out at events. We’ll reach out to helpers on an ad-hoc basis to help as needed.
As we step into a new year, it's time to assign roles and responsibilities for the upcoming year! We'll officially elect the team at the AGM on 18th March. If you've been thinking about getting more involved, now is the perfect opportunity.
There are four key roles to be filled: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
If you’re interested in any of these roles for 2025, please reach out to me via WhatsApp or email at pmpsparentsandfriends@gmail.com .
We'd love to have you on board!
