Year 1/2 Learning Community News

There is so much happening in the1/2 cohort. We are making our social stories in inquiry to teach others how to be a good friend, how to work as a team or how to be kind. There is a lot to accomplish in the writing process. Most of the students are publishing.

We have begun a new maths topic, addition and subtraction. We are learning how to represent addition using bars, counters and number lines.

During InitiaLit we are continuing to work on a variety of concepts whether it be our tricky words, spelling digraphs or rules. Our writing has been fun, working on identifying problems and matching the correct solution, or finding the problems and solutions in the books we read. We have been exposing students to a variety of Dr Seuss books, due to the 2nd of March being his birthday. There are so many problems in Dr Seuss books!!
