Wespine Timber Donation

A huge thank you to Julie Pelliciari, Etienne Kanara and the entire team at Wespine Industries for their continued support of our Trades Centre at Harvey Ag.

As valued members of our Trades Advisory Group, their generosity and industry insight help us provide authentic learning experiences for our students.

This week, we were fortunate to receive a generous donation of pine, which will be put to great use by our construction students as they develop hands-on skills in furnishings and building projects. Donations like this not only provide valuable materials but also strengthen the connection between industry and education.

Pictured here are Nadine Tame and Mieke Thiart, ready to unload the timber on-site at the College.

Important Notice Regarding Abandoned Student Projects

As we progress into the completion of Week 5 of the new academic year, the Trades staff are implementing a structured approach to managing workshop space and materials. To maintain an efficient and productive learning environment, we have now reached the point where we can no longer store or take responsibility for projects from 2024 that have been left abandoned.

At the conclusion and start of each year, staff undertake a thorough process of reusing, recycling or redistributing unclaimed projects. This ensures that workshop space is available for current students to engage in practical, hands-on learning experiences with the necessary resources.

Students with ongoing projects that extend beyond a single academic year where prior arrangements have been made with their trainer can rest assured that these projects will remain securely stored. If you are unsure about the status of your project, we encourage you to speak with your trainer as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, organised, and effective learning environment for all.

A big thank you to our students and staff for their dedication and hard work in the Trades Centre this week. We look forward to another productive and hands-on week ahead. Stay safe and see you all next week.
