Year 10’s Girls group
This term we joined forces with Nadia from Whittlesea community connections to run a girls relationship building group for year 10’s. Together students explored topics like what healthy friendships look like, the impacts of bullying and healthy conflict resolution. We had lots of wonderful and thought provoking discussions over the last 6 weeks, learning lots from one another. Thank you to Nadia, and Laura from Whittlesea community connections for helping us facilitate this group, it has been great having you here.
Harmony Day
Monday 24th March PLSC celebrated Harmony Day - Everyone Belongs!
Students and staff wore orange and came together at lunch time and shared a BBQ lunch prepared by Russell followed by cupcakes and fruit (orange of course 😁)
The colour orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations.
During the lunch break, a Table Tennis Olympics was held. Participating students chose a country out of a hat to represent. 32 students signed up which was a great turn out. The final saw Cooper representing Israel vs Josh representing Hungary with Josh (Hungary) taking out the win in a thrilling 12-10 scorline. Overall was a great success. We look forward to our next competitive event in Term 2.

Rachael has been instrumental in organising a wide range of mental health supports a PLSC, including Turning into Teens, small group interventions and valuable 1:1 counselling.
