Next week is St. Patrick’s Day, and it’s on Monday, the 17th of March!
St Patrick’s Day was established after St Patrick died, and in honour of him they celebrate St Patrick's Day each year.
The Irish believe he is one of Christianity’s most widely known figures. A fun fact is that he was not Irish; he was actually born in Britain and kidnapped by Irish Raiders. He used to herd sheep and during difficult times, he turned to his Faith for comfort.
One of his most famous tales is that he drove all snakes out of Ireland.
Next Friday is Harmony Day, and we celebrate this as a part of Cultural Diversity Week. Students are encouraged to wear something ORANGE or traditional clothing in recognition of this day. This is an opportunity as a school to share our stories and to celebrate the diversity of our school.
