On Tuesday, we celebrated Shrove Tuesday by serving up over 350 hot, fresh, fluffy pancakes to the students and teachers. The kids declared the pancakes were “YUMMY” and we were delighted to see so many happy, smiling faces. Huge thanks to the parents who volunteered their time to help us cook up a storm – we truly appreciated your support. It was a fantastic day!!
Thank you to all the parents and family members who volunteered their time to help with the sausage sizzle at the Twilight Sports Carnival. The kids were delighted with their free sausage and we had lots of happy customers at our Sausage Sizzle stall too!! Thanks to everyone who came along and said hello and supported us by purchasing a snag, drink or icy pole!

Every Friday we sell either Icy Poles (terms 1 & 4) or Popcorn & Chips (terms 2 & 3). The cost is $1per item.
We need volunteers who are available between 10:45-11:25 am to sell icy poles.
Volunteers work on a roster system and we are very grateful for your time. If any parents are available on a Friday morning to assist, please email Sabrina a sfspfa@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au.
The PFA run a regular Second Hand Uniform Shop. These uniforms have kindly been donated by families who have moved away or when students have outgrown their uniforms. All items are $5. Dates will be listed in the newsletter throughout the year.
Please donate uniform! If you can donate uniform in good condition to the school, we would be very grateful as the funds raised go directly back into the school community. Donations of laundered uniform can be made at the school office.
We can’t wait for all the Easter Festivities which have already begun at SFS. This year we are supporting The Monash Children’s Hospital

We thank the members of the PFA Committee for volunteering their time and talents so that we can enrich the school experience of every SFS student.
The St Francis de Sales Parents & Friends Association (PFA) is an active part of our wonderful school community. The PFA host special events for our students throughout the year: fun lunches, raffles, sausage sizzles, discos and various other fantastic events! Our fundraising activities are used to directly benefit the students and the school community.
Get involved!!
The success of our events relies on the support and participation of parents, carers and the school community. You can get involved by joining the PFA committee, attending our monthly meetings or volunteering to be a parent helper. Working together allows us to foster a great school community spirit and the students love seeing their parents/carers at school events. Our first event of the year will be Pancake Day in late February so stay tuned for more information!
Parent Helpers :
During the year, we will need the assistance of parent volunteers to help us run various events. We couldn’t run PFA activities without your support. Thank you in advance for your help, donations and sharing your time with us.
All parent helpers need to have a valid Working with Children Check. You can apply for this online:
https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/
It is free to apply as a volunteer. Please make sure the school office has a copy of your Working with Children Check.
If you’d like to get in touch with the PFA, you can email us at sfspfa@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au or join us at our monthly meetings.
