ConnectEd 2025

'Fantastic! I have taken away lots of information each week'.

This is one reflection from a parent who attended the ConnectEd program this year. Over the course of 4 weeks, parents have learnt about how reading, writing and maths are taught at MRPS K - 6.

The aim of ConnectEd, as its name implies, is to build a strong connection between home and school to support students' learning. Each week we have presented what is learnt, and how it is learnt, across these key curriculum areas. The focus has been more towards the Foundation year but also the sequence of learning as concepts become more complex in subsequent years of primary school.

Participants experienced hands-on activities as well as taking home some extra tasks/homework to reinforce the hour with us.

Later in the year there will be opportunities for Classroom Help volunteers to support student learning in the classroom, stay tuned!
