MAGNIFICENT MRPS ATHLETICS CARNIVAL!
Get ready to run, jump, throw and cheer because it’s a race to first place!
The Miners Rest P.E. Team have been working collaboratively with the students of our school to train hard for this year’s MRPS K-6 Sports Carnival. Over the past eight weeks all year levels have been coached to perfect their skills in a variety of events they will compete in at our upcoming Athletics Day.
The students are extremely excited to show everyone how dedicated they have been to improving their running, throwing and jumping so please, pack a picnic lunch and come along to follow them around and support them throughout the day.

800m competitor information
Our very first event will be the 800m race. Students who have opted to compete, via the Sentral App form, will be leaving from Miners Rest Primary School just after 8:15am. These children will be taking an earlier bus than the other 3-6 students.
If your child is competing in the 800m race can we please ask that they arrive promptly to school at 8:10am and head straight to the gym to be marked off the roll and seated on the bus.
Any 800m competitor who arrives late will not be able to participate in the 800m and will come with the remaining 3-6 students for the rest of the day.
F-6 student information (not including 800m participants)
All of the remaining students and teachers from Miners Rest Primary School will be transported by bus to Llanberris Reserve to compete.
We ask that all F-6 students arrive at their normal time.
The senior students and their teachers will be leaving Miners Rest just after 9:00am to begin events before the junior school arrives.
Presentations will be finished by 3:20pm and we ask that families try their best to remain at Llanberris to cheer on and support our final event, the Circular Relay and Presentations of Age Group Champions and the House winner.
Information regarding dismissal of students
Students MUST be signed out by a parent or guardian before leaving Llanberris Reserve. In order to sign your child out, find their classroom teacher who will have a copy of their roll to mark them off. If you cannot find your child’s classroom teacher, approach the main office at Llanberris and talk to a member of our administration for help.
All children need to be picked up by a family member or guardian from Llanberris Reserve as there will be no buses returning to school at the completion of the event.
For any updated information (weather etc.) or finishing times we will send out a Sentral App post or email to keep all families informed.
