Year Three/Four News

Geography - Learning about Africa and South America
This term, students in Year 3/4 have been learning about the continents of Africa and South America. Learning experiences have been integrated across all core learning areas, as well as a stand alone lesson in Humanities each week. We have engaged in a range of learning activities, including developing an understanding of the countries in these areas, their physical features, climate, plant and animal life. To finalise our work in this unit, students will be completing an inquiry task about Africa, as well as completing their information reports about a selected African animal. We are super excited to strengthen our reports also after our visit to Werribee Open Range Zoo tomorrow, where students will get to see their chosen animal out in the open.
Please find some useful information regarding our upcoming Werribee Zoo excursion this Thursday, 20th March. The bus will depart from the school at 8:45 am sharp and return at 3:30 pm.
We ask that students arrive at school between 8:25 am and 8:35 am and go directly to their classrooms. (Students in OSHC will be supported to make their way to their classrooms at this time.)
