Guess Who? by Stage 2

Guess Who? By Stage 2
This term stage two has been doing some great writing. One task Mrs Little set for us was to write a persuasive text about someone we know who should receive our Hero Award. Following are some excerpts from their writing…. We wonder if you can guess who these Heroes are….
1 My Dad is my hero. He can build and he can teach hockey and he’s the big boss. Is your dad the big boss of a company? Is your dad a builder? Does your dad play hockey? My Dad is my Hero. He’s really funny and he’s really good at telling jokes. He’s a good teacher and he teaches me all the time. He teaches me dribbling and back hand and I am really good at hockey now. Are you good at hockey? Well you need a teacher like my Dad.
2. My Mum is the person that I think deserves the Hero Award. Is your mum your hero? Well I definitely, absolutely know that my mum is my hero. To begin with, my mum always takes some time off work after school for my sister and I so she can take us to all our afternoon sports like touch football, tennis, sewing and a lot more. She is always there for me, even when I am naughty and say bad things. Later, when I apologise, she cuddles me and tells me she always loves me. In addition to this, my mum always gets up early to pack our lunches, sometimes she gets up really early to make us delicious, yummy food like french toast. On the weekends if we can’t find something to do, mum stops what she is doing to entertain us, make up games or take us to the pool. In conclusion, I definitely think that my amazing, loving and really helpful mum should win the Hero Award.
3. My Dad is my Hero because he helps me. He rides motorbikes and fixes fences and works with dogs. My Dad is brave and intelligent. My Dad stopped a cranky cow from jumping out of the race, so no-one gets hurt when a cow is out. My Dad is good at mining with his friends. He has to go up enormous mountains and he is brave because he goes underground. My Dad is friendly to everyone and he helps everyone, even if they’re cranky.
4. Does your hero help and comfort you when you are sad? Well mine does and she’s my Mum. Who else loves you like your Mum? They have unconditional love for you. Although mums have to rouse on you, they care for you deeply and would protect you in every way possible. I can tell that my mum cares for me because she supports the family and cooks for my family. She drives me where I want to go and she pays for my expenses.
