What are we learning in weeks 8, 9, and 10 around the school?

Early Stage 1 

Week 8

Representing Whole Numbers 

Students are continuing their work on reading and representing whole numbers to at least 20.

Week 9 

Non-spatial Measure: Time

Students will be working on the sequencing of events.

Stage 1 

Weeks 8-10

Representing Whole Numbers

Students will be applying an understanding of place value and the role of Zero.  Along with reading, writing, and ordering of, two and three-digit numbers.

Stage 2 

Weeks 8-11

Additive Relations 

Students will be selecting and using mental and written strategies for addition and subtraction involving 2 and 3-digit numbers.

Stage 3 

Week 8

Geometric Measure - Position

Students will locate and describe points on a coordinate plane.

Week 9 -11

Representing Quantity Fractions

Students will compare and order fractions with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10.
