We are working on how to best support families and our students around Mental Health and Wellbeing and we need your feedback.

If you would like to be involved in a small forum to provide feedback on Monday, May 11th, we would love to hear from you.

Late last year we surveyed you to get a better understanding of your knowledge and confidence around your child’s mental health and wellbeing. We’ve now worked through the data and used it to shape our focus for 2026.

Part of our MHiPS (Mental Health in Primary Schools) work will be focusing on strengthening communication and partnerships with you. We've attached the slideshow that outlines the key data and the actions we are taking in response to your feedback.

A strong message from you, our families, was the need for clearer, more consistent communication and a better understanding of processes and supports across the school.

In response, our work this year will include:

Regular communication and sharing of resources with you via Compass, Facebook and the newsletter twice per term.
Inclusion and Wellbeing Handbook
Key players (who does what) and a directory of services
Communication processes
Family Care Pathways
Supporting documents (IEPs, BSPs, referrals)
Programs across the school
IEP and SSG protocols

This is about making things clearer and more consistent for you and supporting a shared understanding of how we work together. Please consider being part of our parent forum mentioned at the beginning of this article.
