The 10th of September OCC has two 9/10 as well as a 7/8 boys team alongside a very large 9/10 girls team to the DIO basketball competition in Tamworth. All teams played so well and displayed great sportsmanship.
Our 9/10 boys team made i through to the final but unfortunately lost to McCarthy. A massive thank you to some of our year 11 students. Gabe Harris, Sam Cross, Andrew Knight, Jarius Webster and Chloe Inman who went along and coached our teams.
Winter Trophy
Some of our O'Connor boys playing in the 'Thunder' team were runners up in the Armidale Basketball Year 9/10 boys Winter Trophy on Tuesday.
They had a great game of defense shutting down some really good players from the Aces, the game was very close at times but the boys went down 34 to 25. Maddy Widders and Reginald were standouts in offense with Ben, Archer, Will and Toby providing solid defense and some great moments in offense.

NGS Super Schools Cup - Phase 2 Regional FInals
On Wednesday of week 10, the Year 9/10 Netball team travelled down to Tamworth to compete in the 2nd phase of the Schools Cup Regional Finals. The girls played exceptionally throughout the whole day and truly represented the College with Pride and Respect. Unfortunately, the team went down to McCarthy Catholic College in the Semi-FInals 10-7. A huge congratulations to the following students: Charlotte Harris, Lizzy Shepheard, Caitlin Montague, Paige Patterson, Marisa Suluma, Mackenzie Gash, Bella McKay and Regan Nugent. Also, a huge thank you to Nicole Hill and Katherine Gash for travelling with us and umpiring throughout the day - we could not have done this excursion without you!
