Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students

Bridie McInerney (Year 11), who dedicated her time and efforts to sewing together blanket squares, donated by customers of Hobart small business Lily & Dot, for her Community Service Learning. This lovely blanket will be included in a care package by Tassie Mums, a not-for-profit organisation providing free material aid to disadvantaged Tasmanian children. Congratulations on this wonderful initiative, Bridie!

These students have shown remarkable resilience and determination in dealing with challenging surfing conditions, and their eagerness to learn new rescue techniques, both in the water and on land, is commendable. Tatum Smith (Year 4), who represented Tasmania recently at the Australian Cross Country Championships at Symmons Plains, earning a spot on the team due to her performance at the All Schools Cross Country event last term. Faced with a last-minute change of course (due to waterlogged grounds), Tatum showcased incredible grit and determination, enduring freezing conditions, rain and powerful winds while traversing through ankle-deep puddles. Despite all this, Tatum ran her heart out, finishing the race with a smile on her face and placing 29th. What a superstar effort. Well done!
