Reminders:

Library Book

We are on the hunt for the final overdue library books. Please look through your books at home and return any that have a South Melbourne Primary school bar code.

Year 2

Reminders:

School Books Coming Home:

It would be greatly appreciated if your child could bring an additional bag to school to enable them to bring their workbooks home. This will ensure that their school bag does not becoming too heavy. Your child is very excited to share their books with you.

Homework:

As the school year comes to an end, we know that the Year 2 cohort will finish strongly with their homework routines. This includes 1 lesson of Mathseeds and 4 nights of reading for 15 minutes. Thank you for your continued efforts at home to support your child with their homework routine. 

We recommend over the holidays for your child to continue accessing Mathseeds and completing their reading. There are many rich lessons on Mathseeds and this is the last chance for students to complete them before transitioning to Mathletics in Year 3. Please ensure that your child continues to complete 1 lesson a week of Mathseeds. This will support your child with a positive homework routine while enjoying their holidays. If you have any opportunities for you and your child to visit your local library, this would be a wonderful way to continue accessing wonderful books over the holidays.

Year 3

Reminders:

Belongings Coming Home

During Week 11, your children will begin bringing home their belongings (school books, etc.). To support this process, please send along an additional bag so that your children are able to carry home their belongings. A reusable grocery bag will work perfectly. 

Library Book

We are on the hunt for the final overdue library books. Your child will have gone home this week with an overdue library book list if they still have a book borrowed.  lease support them to find their books at home and return them to the school as soon as possible. 

Year 4

Please ensure you have returned all library books to ensure Miss Zoe can complete stocktake for the library.

Year 5

Reminders:

Lost Library Books

Miss Zoe has kindly provided students a printed out reminder of the books students have not returned. If you find these books before the end of term, please bring them back to school. If you happen to find them over the summer holidays, please bring them back in 2025.

Final Assembly

A reminder to all families that Year 6's will have a special entrance through the 'Guard of Honour' to their final Assembly on Wednesday 18 December. Families are welcome to come to share this special moment.
