Leadership Conference

On Tuesday, our Year 6 student leaders participated in a Leadership Conference centred on the power of student voice. Through collaborative activities, our student leaders explored how their perspectives can shape school culture, influence decisions, and drive positive change. This conference empowered our young leaders to speak up, listen actively, and lead with purpose.

Have a read of some of the reflections from our leaders:

This Tuesday, all leaders were introduced into a Leadership Conference where we discussed and brainstormed ideas for upcoming events. Estelle and I came up with multiple ideas - and one that we thought we could do is to raise money for new resources for our school. We decided that we would have more Zooper Dooper Days and Casual Clothes Days.

In this meeting we also collaborated with other leaders by asking questions and giving feedback to help each other to succeed in our roles.

At the Leadership Conference, I found that this helped the Social Justice team because we were brainstorming ideas for the year. This experience also helped build our teamwork.

The house leaders were blooming with ideas! It felt great to be with all the house leaders to talk and share ideas. Our goal was student voice. We came up with stuff like sport voting boxes, lunch time sport clubs... and that is just a snippet of our many ideas! I am looking forward to the next Leadership Conference.

Lana and I have had so many ideas already so it was great to write down ideas to get more students into the Arts. I thought this experience was really cool and we both enjoyed this.

As Digi-tech leaders, we talked about making sure everyone's Chromebook was working and that we all had access to headphones. I found this to be a good and helpful experience.
