Junior Level

In Term 2, the Prep classes have started learning the new topic on colours, and they were also encouraged to use learnt useful expressions in the classroom settings including daily greetings and time words. In our play-based learning activities, our Prep students have also been practicing counting the objects in Mandarin. The Year 1/2 classes have been exploring the topic of seasons and stationery, and learning how to tell day and time in short conversations. They have also reviewed the vocabulary and expressions learnt in the past through a variety of language learning games in the past few weeks.

Students from Year 3/4 classes have been actively exploring the cultural aspect of Chinese writing system and further developing their understanding of Chinese characters. During the Career’s Week, we have also been learning the expressions around the topic of occupations, and have been practicing relevant short phrases and sentences to discuss what we want to do when we grow up.

Senior Level

Extended from our previous topics on sports, students in Year 5/6 have been learning to read and describe a variety of leisure activities in Mandarin. Besides learning the new vocabulary and expressions, students were also introduced the inquiry topic of great innovations of China, and have been researching about things that were invented in China both in the past and present.

Student Dance Club Newsletter – Week 6 Term 2 2025

New members are welcome to join anytime!

After our successful performance at the Trinity School Fete last time, now in Term 2, we have started learning a brand new dance routine! And if you are still interested in joining the dance club with us, don’t worry at all! You might think you have already left behind a bit, and have too much to catch up, but we always review the learnt moves thoroughly and also drill the technique each week, and we only push a few new moves each time to build up our dance skills progressively!

If you are from Year 3 to 6, and you are interested in learning Hip-Hop dance with us, you are more than welcome to have a trial session with us on Friday!

Please note the following important information regarding the Student Dance Club:

*Student Dance Club runs on Fridays at 11:40am (during first break) in the MPR

*Students who are interested are more than welcome to have a trial session first (no previous dance experiences required).

*After the trial session, students who would like to officially join will need to make a commitment to it. We will be having opportunities along the way to rehearse and perform our group dance at different events.

Sincerely,

Mr. Su
