Busy! Busy! Busy!

House Captains Represent Salvado Catholic College at the 2025 Archbishop’s LifeLink Launch

Our House Captains proudly represented Salvado Catholic College at the 2025 Archbishop’s LifeLink Launch, held at Newman College in Churchlands. Alongside many other metropolitan Catholic schools, our student leaders embraced the opportunity to connect, reflect, and be inspired by the Archbishop’s message of compassion and service. Archbishop Timothy Costelloe spoke patiently about the cause. Leo Furfaro confidently asked Bishop Don Proxton how long LifeLink has been running and how much money has been raised in the past. Bishop Don responded with approximately 30 years and the amount of money has been growing over the years. Last year alone, 1.2 million dollars was raised. There were many guests including the Executive Director of Catholic Education.

Year 5 Assembly Brings Economics to Life

A huge congratulations to our Year 5 students for their outstanding assembly presentation last week! Through music, acting, and creative storytelling, they brought their classroom learning on economics to life. They shared their knowledge about price, demand, marketing and financial management. It was a fun and educational showcase of their hard work and understanding. We never knew how entertaining competing lemon drinks could be!

Eagles Cup Kicks Off with Spirit and Sportsmanship

The Eagles Cup is in full swing, and our senior students are showing fantastic team spirit across netball, soccer, and football. Competing against other Catholic primary schools has not only sharpened their skills but also strengthened friendships and school pride. This competition continues for a couple of weeks with the finals towards the end of the month. Go Salvado!

Year 4s Explore Fremantle’s Rich History

Our Year 4 students had a fantastic excursion to Fremantle, exploring historic sites, like the Round House, and learnt about the city’s evolution over time. The weather was kind, and the experience gave students a deeper appreciation for the past and how it shapes our present. Thank you to the parents who assisted with this excursion.

Warlawurru Catholic Primary School, Halls Creek

My time as Acting Principal in Halls Creek was a truly humbling experience that deepened my appreciation for both the unique challenges and the remarkable beauty of working in the Kimberley. One of the most memorable moments was seeing the joy on students’ faces when they received sports equipment generously donated by Salvado Catholic College—items they previously didn’t have access to.

Thanks to Mrs Clare Jeeves who took on the role of Acting Head of Junior School in my absence. Her assistance was very much appreciated by all.

Regards,

Mrs Christine Pitman
