Kindy - What I Want To Be When I Grow Up
As part of our Growing and Changing Religious Education unit, the Kindy children have been learning about the life cycles of people, plants, and animals. They’ve enjoyed thoughtful discussions about how much they’ve grown since they were babies, how we celebrate growing up—especially with birthdays—and what they dream of becoming in the future. To conclude the unit, we held a joyful dress-up day where each child came to school in costume, proudly showing what they want to be when they grow up!

Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week
Last week, our school came together to recognise and reflect on the importance of National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week. Across all classes, students engaged in meaningful learning about the significance of these events, deepening their understanding of Australia’s shared history. These discussions encouraged students to think critically about the impact of the past and how we can all contribute to a more inclusive and reconciled future.
Some of the activities students participated in included creating collages of the official Sorry Day flower, analysing the "Sorry" poem, exploring Country (Boodja) through Adam Goodes’ story Somebody’s Land, and learning about traditional symbols by shaping them with playdough.
In preparation for the week, students also took part in a colouring-in and poster competition, with one winner selected from each year group. Congratulations to the following winners:
- Pre-Primary: Elliana
- Year 1: Zikaia
- Year 2: Kaitlin
- Year 3: Emeryson
- Year 4: Avika
- Year 5: Lilly
- Year 6: Alexis
On Wednesday, buddy classes joined together for a Walk for Reconciliation around the two ovals, symbolising our commitment to walking together with respect towards a more united future.
To further celebrate the week, Year 5 and 6 students took part in friendly Reconciliation Week netball matches on Monday and Thursday, highlighting the values of teamwork, inclusion, and respect.
It was a powerful and inspiring week filled with reflection, creativity, and connection.
