Our activities for Reading groups remain the same but we have moved onto Narrative writing. We have been trying to write more detailed descriptions of settings and characters. In Math's, we are working on a time unit with a focus on 24 hour time and elapsed time. We have been researching some early Asian explorers: Marco Polo, Ibn Battuta and Zheng He who explored in the 1200 to 1400"s. Also we have been designing and making a working model of an amusement park ride that uses energy for movement

This week the children responded well to the prayer focus session presented by Darryl Martin and Damian Roff. It was good to present a variety of ways to pray.

On a more personal level, we have been having a lot of discussions regarding being kind  and accepting of our classmates. Unfortunately, we are finding that there is a lack of empathy and tolerance of our peers. It would be good if you could have a discussion with your child/ren regarding this.
