Boroondara Division Cross Country

We would like to congratulate Team Solway on the tremendous effort at the recent Boroondara Division Cross Country on Monday 26 May at Ruffey Lake Park.

We had 5 runners progress through to Regionals at Yarra Glen with three additional runners as emergencies. These were:

12/13 Boys 

Jensen (3rd) - Qualified

Henry K (9th) - Qualified

11 Boys

Jaxon (2nd) - Qualified

9/10 Girls

Lucie (4th) - Qualified

Grace (5th) - Qualified

Zoe (13th) – Emergency

Eve (15th) – Emergency

9/10 Boys

Ben (14th) - Emergency

The course at Ruffey Lake Park was very challenging, especially combined with the wind and relatively warm conditions they faced on the day. There were some huge efforts by all students especially those who aren't regular runners. A big shout out to Ben who unfortunately fell at the start and pegged his way back from essentially last to just miss out on qualifying.  Enormous will power to keep calm and fight on!

The next stage is the Eastern Melbourne Regional Cross Country at Yarra Glen Racecourse, next Thursday 12 June. The school is proud of your efforts thus far and wishes you well for next week.
