Growing Together
Head of Year 9 smcqueen1@cns.catholic.edu.au
It was truly wonderful to see so many families at our Information Evening on Thursday. Thank you for taking the time to attend. It was a valuable opportunity to explore the pathways ahead for our Year 9 students, particularly about subject selection for Year 10 and planning for their upcoming work experience. Your engagement plays a crucial role in supporting your child’s journey.
Looking ahead, next week is shaping up to be a busy one, with several assessments due and exams scheduled to take place. Please encourage your child to set aside time for revision and preparation. Developing strong study habits now will lay a solid foundation for success in the senior years.
As we approach the final weeks of term, I kindly ask for your support in having conversations at home about uniform and grooming expectations, as well as behaviour both in and out of the classroom. It’s been encouraging to see so many of our Year 9 students showing up ready to learn and modelling positive behaviour. Let’s work together to ensure we finish the term on a strong and positive note.
The subject expo for students and parents/carers in Years 8, 9, and 10 will take place on Wednesday, 16 July. Parents/carers are expected to attend for information about subject selection and career pathways in 2026.
This is a brilliant opportunity for students and parents/carers to obtain specific information regarding subject selections and career pathways in 2026. All Heads of Departments will be available to talk with throughout the event.
