Head of Year 7
Next week is an extremely busy one for students, with many subject-area assessment tasks due. Please refer to the Year 7 Term 2 Assessment Planner and take a moment to check in with your child regarding their schedule for Week 9.
Kindly reach out to your child’s subject teachers should you have any questions.
Year 7 Italian students have been busy expanding their Italian language skills, first learning to talk about themselves in the Term 1 unit "Tutto Su Di Me" – All About Me. Now in Term 2, their next exciting unit, "La Musica" – Music: Favourite Artist and Their Songs.
Students will explore their favourite artists, building vocabulary and confidence along the way. As part of their assessment, they are creating a multimodal presentation with a voice-over showcasing their chosen artist and their songs. They will also put their speaking skills to the test with a spontaneous exam discussing their music interests. With melody and language coming together, this term is sure to hit all the right notes!
For any concerns or queries, please contact our Languages Coordinator.

As we approach the end of the term, we appreciate your continued support in ensuring Year 7 students meet the College’s uniform and grooming standards. This includes maintaining appropriate haircuts, wearing the correct uniform each day, and following the school’s jewellery guidelines—such as wearing only permitted items like a watch and small, plain studs or sleepers. These expectations remain in place for the entire term. I appreciate your support in reinforcing these standards at home.
The library will close early at 3:30 pm on Friday, 27 June.
