READING & WRITING- This fortnight we have started a Retell and Personal recount unit.

Preps have been taught how to retell a story by giving a "Five finger retell". This includes explaining the characters, setting, events that occur, the problem and solution. 

MATHS - We have been learning the many different subtraction strategies, including using fingers, tally marks, concrete materials, numberlines, bridging, counting back and recognising friends of 10.

MEDIA ARTS - In Media arts we have been exploring the "Toontastic App", where the Preps have planned and created a story with a beginning, middle and end. They choose their setting, cartoon characters, exciting events by recording their voices and background music. The Preps enjoyed watching everybodies cartoons.

INDONESIAN DAY - Thank you Bu Whelan for organising the Indonesian Day. The Preps loved dressing up and dancing their Indonesian dance.
