Foundation - Year 5 Information
Musical Arrival Times
Tuesday and Thursday evening
Year 5 students need to be signed in backstage at 6.15pm.
Foundation - Year 4 students need to be signed in at the PAC Classroom (behind the sound box) at 6.15pm.
Wednesday twilight
Year 5 students need to be signed in backstage at 5.15pm.
Foundation - Year 4 students need to be signed in at the PAC Classroom (behind the sound box) at 5.15pm.
Foundation Students Only
When signing your child in for evening performances, please remember to advise whether you are choosing for your child to stay for the entire performance or you will be collecting them to take them home after their class song (approx. 7.00pm) from the PAC Classroom. Please note it will be too disruptive for students to return to the audience of the auditorium.
Collection of Students at the End of Each Musical Performance
At the end of each evening performance, we have a logistical challenge to get the many students ready for you to pick up and take home. We are asking that you please assist us with this task by following these helpful guidelines. We will remind you of this at each performance, but many will appreciate this information before the event. The Performing Arts Centre is a little cramped for such an event, so we ask that different year levels depart through different doors to help the flow of traffic and ensure swift and safe supervision of all children as they are returned to their families.
- All visitors not collecting children, or caring for siblings, please exit through the western door of the auditorium (on the side near the kindy).
- The main entrance can be used as the exit for wheelchairs, walking frames, etc.
- Please send one parent to collect student/s (preferably not with younger siblings IF it is possible to avoid this).
Foundation to Year 4 Children
- Parents enter PAC classroom (ie behind the sound booth) via external eastern door.
- Please sign your child out (sign out sheet on table).
- Move through the internal western door of PAC classroom, down the steps and back into the main auditorium.
- Exit outside via western door of the auditorium (Kindy side).
Year 5 to 6 Children (please collect first if you have children across all age groups)
- Parents/Caregivers to exit auditorium into corridor via main entrance door. Please do not use the door closest to the stage.
- Line up at the corridor to the backstage. Please don’t enter the backstage area.
- Wait for your child to come to you.
- Teachers will mark off names as the children are collected.
Foundation to Year 5 Costumes
All costumes should now be at school. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask your child’s teacher.
