Peaceful Kids Program
The Peaceful Kids program has taken off wonderfully! We are now in the third week of the program and the 36 students who are a part of this round have responded very well. The students are excited for their Peaceful Kids session to start and look forward to the JAM (Just A Minute) of mindfulness at the beginning of each session. Some thoughtful discussions have been shared, along with some breathing strategies that students can use daily. It is great to see and hear about the nightly journal entries from some of the students in the groups. This week students will learn a little about the brain.
In the attached photos you will see the calming space that we have set up, along with some students participating in their mindful breathing and some students with the seed that they planted. We continue to look forward to working with these students this week and for 5 more weeks in Term 3.
