Coaching and Mentoring

The staff at Holy Name have been working very hard writing reports this term. On the sidelines we have been engaging in some professional learning on what makes a good and effective learning culture. One core characteristic of this is collaboration and collective responsibility for developing teaching practices and improving student outcomes. We are aiming to build this through coaching and mentoring, and develop a framework . We are still in the developing phase of this work, however we are committed to providing ongoing learning opportunities for teachers over the next two terms so that we can develop their skills, knowledge and dispositions necessary to grow both self and collective teacher efficacy.

Library

The library has been open on Thursdays at recess, and it will be for the remainder of the year. This will allow students an opportunity to borrow or return books outside of their regular reading time. I want to thank the group of interested students that have been helping in the library. If your child wants to be a part of this, they are welcome to join me in the library.
