END OF TERM

FINISHING TIMES 

A reminder that students finish at the earlier time on the last day of term 2, 

Friday, 28 JUNE.

·         Kinder : 12.45pm

·         Prep – Year 6: 12.45pm

·         Years 7 – 12: 1.00pm

The Office will close at 2pm on this day and will re-open at 9.00am Monday 15 July.

 

LAST DAY BUS TIMES

Bus families, please be informed that on the last day of term afternoon arrival times move back 2.5 hours. Example: if your child is usually due at their stop at 4.00pm, the arrival time becomes 1.30pm.

UNIFORM SHOP

The last day of trade for Alinta in Term 2 is Thursday 27th June. The shop will resume regular trading hours from Tuesday 16th July.

Holiday Trading Hours:

Monday 15th July: 3.00pm - 7.00pm

No appointments necessary for holiday trade.

 

CANTEEN & CAFE 

Please note that the canteen will be closed on Friday, 28 June.

There will be no lunch orders on this day.

The cafe will be closing at 12pm on this day.

 

CAMP AUSTRALIA (OSHC)

Camp Australia OSHC will be running on Friday, 28th June.

Kinder children who are booked into the program will be collected from the ELC at 12.45pm and the program will begin for all students at 1.00pm.

 

TERM 3 COMMENCEMENT 

Term 3 commences on Tuesday 16 July for all students, on a week 1 timetable.

Students are to continue to wear winter uniform during Term 3.

DONATIONS INVITED - BHCS BUILDING FUND

With the plans for the development of a new Senior Learning Centre on the land along Wattle Valley Road, we would like to invite parents and friends of Belgrave Heights Christian School, to make a donation to the BHCS Building Fund. A building fund donation provides the opportunity to contribute to the School in a very practical and permanent way which will provide learning opportunities to current and future students who will gain the benefits of the amazing new facilities.

With the end of the financial year approaching, this would be a perfect time to make a contribution – no amount is too small.

 

Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so by making a payment at reception (cash or credit card) or by bank transfer to the School’s Building Fund account as follows:-

Father's Day Stall

Our Father's Day stall planning has commenced and we would love your help! If you wish to contribute to the planning you are invited to join our meeting on Tuesday, June 25th. Please contact Amanda at pulse@bhcs.vic.edu.au for further details and to express your interest.

 

Paint and Sip Event

Pulse is exploring the possibility of organsing a Paint and Sip event in Term 3. We are looking for a team to bring this event to life. If you would like to be involved, please send us an email, we would love to hear from you.

 

Worship and Prayer Evening

Our Worship and Prayer evenings have become a significant event on our calendar. There is great power, encouragement in worshiping God and praying together with fellow believers for our community. BHCS INSTRUMENTAL TUITION PROGRAM 

Private lessons are available in piano, drums, bass & guitar. 

Lessons run throughout the day and usually last for half an hour. Please use the online application form found in the Parent resources section of the school website, or use the following QR Code. 

BHCS CANTEEN

PREP – YEAR 6: The canteen is available for lunch orders on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. Primary students (Prep - Year 6) may pre-order lunch orders via the Flexischools app only. No window service.

 

YEAR 7 - YEAR 12: Are welcome to order at the Canteen window during recess and lunch 

PERSONAL DETAILS 

We would like to remind families that if your circumstances change in any way - this includes address, phone numbers, email address, custody arrangements and fee arrangements - please update your Operoo profiles and then contact the School as soon as possible. This will assist us in ensuring that any communications sent reach you.  Please feel free to email any updates

to office@bhcs.vic.edu.au, so this can be passed on to the relevant departments.

TREETOPS CAFE 

The Café will be running every day except Wednesday.  Senior students (Year 7 -12) are able to order food from the Café during break times.  Only Year 11 & 12 students may use the tables and chairs in the Café. 

ARE YOU IN FLEXISCHOOLS?

Families are reminded to download and subscribe to the Flexischools app.  This is the portal where day to day reminders and information is distributed to the school community.  To subscribe to your child's 2024 class group, please follow the below instructions.

We would like to ask everyone in our community to be courteous and polite to staff and other families. Modelling considerate, patient and kind behaviour for our students.

 

Drivers

  • Please drive slowly 
  • Only allow students to enter/exit from left side of vehicle
  • Move as far along the drop-off/pick-up zone as possible 
  • One minute drop off (less if possible)
  • Please move to a designated car park if you need to get out of your car for any reason
  • Do not use a hand-held device when driving through the school 
  • If you are able to please consider a vacant car parking spot rather than waiting in the queue, especially after Primary parents leave
  • Only use Disability parking bays if you are clearly displaying a Disability/Accessible Parking Permit
  • Do not ‘race’ your student in the drive-through area

Pedestrians

  • Only use the designated crossings 
  • Don’t bounce or throw any sporting balls in the drive-through area or carpark
