Performing Arts Night
Performing Arts Night
On Wednesday 12th June the Year 9 and 10 Drama classes, along with members of the Drama Club and Sing It! Choir, came together to put on a night of entertainment in the PAC. Students were excited to have their friends and families come along to see all their hard work and talent. Year 12 students Sophie Alexander and Jack Bowen-Moller hosted the night, while Heechan Hwang ran the lights and audio, also taking time to pass on his knowledge to the younger students. The night opened with members of the Drama Club performing a fun number from the hit musical Mean Girls. The Year 9 Drama class performed their self-devised play ‘Perfect’. The Sing It! Choir performed a beautiful rendition of ‘California Dreaming', while the Year 10 Drama class rounded out the night with their self-devised play ‘Lucid’.
An incredible effort from all involved, from the seasoned performers to those getting on stage in front of an audience for the first time. To the Year 9 and 10 Drama students – it is an incredibly difficult thing to create a play from scratch, and even more challenging to put it out there for an audience to judge. You should be very proud of yourselves.
The night was a great success. We thank everyone who came to support the night, and we hope to put on more of these type of events in the future.
