All hard copy forms and online receipts need to be returned to the box in the Careers room by the due date on the forms.

Year 10 into 11 VCE and VCE-VM House Leader/SEALP Subject Selection Conferences – these conferences are for House Leaders and SEALP Leaders to discuss with the parents and students the subject selections for 2025. At this stage they will be held from 12pm to 7pm on Tuesday 13th August. No year 10’s & 9A SEALP will be required at school on that day and will be required to book a time through Compass with the HL for that day. The HL will go over the subject selections and the expectations for VCE or VCE-VM for 2025. These conferences are designed to be a validation of the subjects selected by the student. All the paperwork, VET forms, signatures and subject research should have been done prior to these conferences.

Open Days

Open days at Universities, Private institutions and TAFE’S kick off soon. Have a look at the following link and plan which ones you would like to attend. I encourage not only Year 12’s but Yr. 10s and 11’s to consider attending some of these days.

VTAC

A VTAC presentation will held for Year 12 students and Parents on the 31st July for those wishing to apply for University, private institutions and some TAFE’s for 2025. We will go through the process of applying, SEAS, Scholarships, change of preference and offers. I encourage students to log on to the VTAC website and start the process of searching for courses that may be of interest and generate a preliminary list.

To do this go to www.vtac.com.au click on the ‘Find Courses’ tab and then into ‘Course search’. Please be aware that VTAC have not updated this website for 2025 yet, so students will be looking at current 2024 courses. Hopefully the updates from VTAC for 2025 will occur over the holidays.

There are also a huge number of resources on the VTAC website for parents and students to familiarise yourselves with before the information sessions and applications open in Term 3.
