eSafety

Last Tuesday, Craig from the Alannah and Madeleine Foundation provided eSafety sessions to all of our students, staff and families as we start our partnership with them to become an eSmart school.
Students sessions covered:
F-2 students engaged in various activities learning the importance of balance between onscreen and offscreen activities.
3-4 students workshop explored how to stay safe online and the implications of a digital footprint and discovered how to create strong passwords to protect themselves online.
5-6 students investigated the 3C's: Contact, Conduct and Content, the vital aspects of cyber safety aiming to ensure positive online experiences. Students also explored the implication of their digital footprint and gained insight into the benefits and risks of emerging technologies like AI.
All staff found their session beneficial as they explored ways to teach students how to be safe online and how to create a positive digital footprint.
Thank you to the family and friends that attended the session afterschool. Craig spoke about how to keep our children safe online and shared useful resources like the esafety guide, beacon and dolly's dream that provided beneficial information on keeping our children safe online.
