F-2 News

Foundation/1

Thankyou for an amazing Term 2! We have been so busy learning, it is definitely time for a well-deserved rest. Enjoy your school holidays and we will see you all in Term 3.

M&M Maths Data

This week in Maths, the F/1 students have been learning about collecting and representing data.  They were lucky enough to learn about Data using M&M's. It was very tempting to lower the amount of 'total' M&M's, but the children did very well, holding on until the end.

Ronny's Adventures

On Monday, the F/1 students attended Ronny's Adventures for a dance with DJ Stingbray and a play with the younger kids. It was a great, fun way to start off our final week of Term 2.

Grade 2

Thank you for a fantastic Term 2! We have had so many fun this Term and all students deserve a well earnt rest. We have some great things planned for Term 3 including our overnight camp to Swan Hill.

In respectful relationships we have been exploring team work skills and what we need to do to be a helpful team member. On Tuesday the students put their skills to the test to complete a series of activities together!

In writing we looked at a recipe for playdough. We explored the important elements needed in a recipe and then wrote the recipe into our writing books. Students then followed the recipe and made their own playdough to take to the Aged Care.

We have absolutely enjoyed visiting the Aged Care this Term. The relationships students have developed with the residents is incredibly special. We have had lots of fun over the past two visits, making money trees and playing with playdough. We will miss them over the school holidays but are looking forward to many more fun visits next Term.

This term our inquiry focus was on being sustainable and looking after the environment. At the start of the term students investigated what it means when things decompose, by burying their own rubbish and we dug it up after 10 weeks. The results were very interesting, some of the rubbish didn't change, some completely changed and some of the rubbish completed disappeared!

We love breakfast club!!

Enjoy your school holidays, and we will see you in Term 3!
